Combine IT with creativity in a double degree at QUT
Love solving logical problems but can’t resist getting creative? You don’t have to choose between the two!
Meet Janice Judge, a QUT student and a 2026 Westpac Young Technologists Scholar. She’s combining logic and creativity through a double degree in design and IT. “There’s so much you can do when you combine degrees!” Janice says.
Studying both IT and design means Janice can explore digital products from every angle, from coding, to how an app or website looks and feels. Plus, Janice loves being on campus at QUT. It’s her home away from home. “You always have the opportunity to meet someone new,” she says.
So, what’s next? While some people worry that AI will replace creative work, Janice sees potential for the two to work together in harmony. “My hope is to find a way to provide people with the opportunities to be more creative through AI,” she says.
