VIDEO: There’s more to mining careers than you think!

Ever wondered what it looks like to work in mining engineering? The Careers with STEM crew recently teamed up with the folks at Downer and the Minerals Council of Australia to explore modern mining careers at the Commodore mine in QLD’s Darling Downs.

We produced these three videos where you can find out what mining careers are really all about. Meet people like Rebecca Marsh (above), a graduate mechanical engineer using gaming technology to virtually tour mine sites from her Sydney office.

Or there’s mining engineer Greer Behan-Willett who, with the help of a drone, can inspect multi-million dollar trucks safely:

Cognitive Engineering PMO Manager, Jacob Simpson is another engineering graduate using innovative tech to get ahead in the mining industry.
