While I was working as an investment banking intern at Macquarie Group I became intrigued by data analytics. After studying law and commerce at the University of Sydney I wanted to use my skills in analytics to help people solve problems.
Now I work at LinkedIn, where there’s a massive amount of data that’s creating amazing opportunities for growing businesses. We help clients make tough decisions based on global trends, like knowing which markets to advertise in and where to open offices, so they can make effective changes.
If you’re keen to explore the world of data analytics, think about the skillset of the area you’re interested in – and hone your skills to meet it. Build relationships with people so you can understand how to apply data analytics to real life.
