Social distancing while trying to keep up with work or study? This whole working-and-studying-from-home thing has created some A+ social media content.
Working from home isn’t a new thing. In the last five years the US has reported a 44 per cent increase in remote working arrangements, and last year in Australia 68 per cent of employers allowed their staff to do the same.
But the perk has become the norm for thousands of people in the last few weeks, with the COVID-19 pandemic encouraging so many of us to log in remotely. Even Universities have upped their digital-only offerings. And yep, that includes exams.
Here are our favourite tweets, TikToks and Instagram reactions to bunkering down in a world of slack threads, zoom calls and not ever having to get out of your pyjamas.

Someone just emailed my whole department to say that we should all dress professionally during Zoom calls. Am I the only one that thinks we should be able to where whatever we want during this pandemic? Throw me a freakin bone here. #AcademicTwitter

During social distancing, it’s important to remember good conference call etiquette:
– awkward silence
– can you hear me
– [weird small talk because someone is 10 min late]
– BEEP BOOP
– strange crunch
– heavy breath
– oops sorry you go ahead
– sorry no, you
– BOOP beep
– bye?— Julieanne Smolinski (@BoobsRadley) March 10, 2020
