That student who has found their tribe, every individual eager to learn and do their best – in preparation for their future.
Attend a Future Leaders Lab

Their devotion goes beyond international borders, a distinct advantage they gain by studying at Westbourne. Recently in June, twelve students from Years 10 and 11 headed to Singapore to complete the inaugural Future Leaders Lab – a mini-MBA styled program tailored to suit the brilliant, curious minds of senior high school students. Held at Westbourne College Singapore, this new initiative by Westbourne International brought Sydney students together with those from Westbourne School UK and Westbourne College Singapore along with local Singaporean students for one of the most intellectually stimulating and exciting programmes now available to those craving a challenge.
Led by Adrian Johnson, Professor of the globally leading business school INSEAD (Fontainebleau, France), this exclusive programme equipped students with unrivalled lessons in entrepreneurship, coupled with visits to corporations including Google and INSEAD in Singapore.

Lachlan, a Year 11 student of Westbourne College Sydney, says, “The key highlight from the Futures Leaders Lab was Anna Ong’s storytelling activity, which was done over the course of an afternoon. The exercises were designed to improve our ability to tell a linear and logical story, including creating a narrative with a group of others in which each person can only say one sentence and telling stories about ourselves. It was extremely engaging, and it developed my skills in creating a cohesive and understandable narrative, as well as my collaboration skills.”
Patrick McGing, Principal of Westbourne Sydney, was also there for the week and he found that the programme matched his own education during his early years as Deputy Principal.
“All these key learnings and insights from the programme have helped shaped the future leaders of tomorrow in Singapore, Australia and UK who will become the next generation business leaders and entrepreneurs across science, tech and engineering,” he says.
This feedback reinforces the importance of providing inquisitive young minds with opportunities to learn and that STEM skills can be enhanced with other disciplines like business.
