Considering a Masters or a PhD but worried about your finances? These programs can help!

Australian Postgraduate Research Intern (APR.Intern)

APR.Intern is all about strengthening industry-university collaboration, and empowering students to thrive in a practical research environment.

The program works with Australian universities to streamline pathways for postgraduate research students to be industry and career ready, to expand university research collaborations, and to connect businesses with emerging research talent.

Participating universities include Edith Cowan University (ECU), Monash University, QUT, the University of New South Wales (UNSW), and the University of Technology Sydney (UTS).

As for industry, APR.Intern has partnerships with STEM employers like the Australian Bureau of Statistics, Defence Science Technology Group and the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre.

They offer short three to five month internships that’ll allow you to experience a practical research environment, apply your skills to an industry challenge and get comfortable in the workplace. This will boost your employability, and you’ll receive a $3,000 monthly student scholarship.

To find your next big opportunity, visit their Available Internships page and filter by discipline or partnership.

Up to 50 Early Career Industry Fellowships can be awarded each year providing salary contribution for up to three years and project costs up to $150,000.
