The paid 12-week summer internship is for Australian students in their second-last year. Aimed at software developers, IT and infrastructure, site reliability engineers and product managers.


Australian Wildlife Conservancy (AWC)

Each year AWC offers 10 conservation biology graduate internships of 4–6 months. A small stipend and travel allowance is paid and interns are mentored by a team of experienced ecologists. Students should have a Bachelors degree with Honours in ecology or conservation.



CISCO offers paid full-time intern placements across a range of jobs, usually running from July–January, for current undergraduate students in fields ranging from IT and business to marketing and engineering.


Ernst & Young (EY)

EY is an accounting/business advisory firm offering a range of research and development vacation intern programs in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney. Entry is highly competitive and open to students in a range of degrees including STEM.


National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC)

Postgraduate students with a first degree in health or medical sciences are eligible for the three-month unpaid NHMRC internship program in either Canberra or Melbourne.

Protiviti is a multinational risk advisory and audit firm that places interns in their second-last year in a winter holiday program in its offices in Brisbane, Sydney, Canberra and Melbourne. Students in computing, business, finance and economics are prioritised.
