[vc_row][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]Have you been considering a PhD, but you also want to gain experience working in industry? A new PhD program aims to bridge the gap between research and industry. The CSIRO and UNSW are working together with industry partners to provide a unique PhD program – the iPhD – for the next generation of researchers.
Successful students will be matched with an industry partner and take part in a four-year, industry funded research program at UNSW, which includes a 6 month industry internship.
An industry-funded PhD can give you a unique edge – you can build industry connections, access training and development opportunities and see how your research could be applied directly to industry.
Here are a selection of the projects, sorted by discipline:
Computer science, biostatistics, spatial systems, electrical engineering
Machine learning to improve patient journeys
Leveraging blockchain and Internet of Things
Electrical engineering
Clinical health disciplines, computer science or psychology
Patient reported outcome measures
Chemistry, chemical engineering or biomedical disciplines
Biosensors for monitoring micronutrients
Maths, physics, chemistry or engineering
Impact on health from alternative energy sources
Applications are now open for candidates to start in February 2019 – see here for more details.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_column_text]
