Indigenous STEM virtual gallery

Celebrate Indigenous innovation. Spark curiosity. Connect with the science stories that shape Australia.

This National Science Week (9–17 August), invite your students to explore the Indigenous STEM Virtual Gallery – a free, interactive online space celebrating the groundbreaking contributions of Indigenous peoples to science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

The gallery showcases the intersection between traditional Indigenous knowledge systems and modern STEM innovations. It’s a fun and inclusive way to inspire curiosity, promote cultural understanding, and highlight the work of Indigenous scientists, innovators and storytellers.

  • Access videos, songs, podcasts and insightful articles.
  • Discover inspiring profiles of David Unaipon and Fanny Cochrane Smith.
  • Explore cultural knowledge activities aligned with the Australian Curriculum.
